After a couple days recovery from the other night, everybody seems to be back online and the Temple is bustling once again. We celebrated new years in a true home grown back yard fashion, with live music, dancing and plenty of smiles.
We kicked off the evening with with a selection of musical melodies from a variety of performers, raining from the Ukulele toting Nathan Myers to the bluesy tunes of Chris Brooks. Family Duo Z-Lunx laid down an awesome set, getting everybody in the mood with the sounds from their trumpet and acoustic guitar.
Beers were cold and flowing, laughs n shots were being shared and a real family vibe was evident in our humble courtyard. Andy Six String took the stage and did what he does best, giving the people what they wanted to hear. The one and only Tyler Mars also made his presence felt with a two set spoken word experience, breaking our past year down in a style only he could pull off.
When we are on the precipice of 2012 Made J rocked up front and center, belting out his smokey rockabilly tunes to an eagerly waiting audience…the clock stuck midnight and the Canggu skyline was lit up with fireworks from every establishment and household in a 10km radius, a truly awesome sight.
After the aerial light extravaganza, I really cant be 100% sure on the details of subsequent happenings…all I know is that they were definitely a good time and we welcomed in 2012 in the company of friends and in style!
