The Book Of Deus – 2nd Edition

A whole lot has happened since the first edition of the DEUS book was released. Deus – The House Of Simple Pleasures was a 230 page tome of custom-built enthusiasm – bound together by the pursuit of fun, the events, the culture and the characters that passed through our automatic doors over the years since small beginnings in 2005.

Since the release in August 2010 we’ve had the throttle pinned wide open. We’ve built more shops and created more bikes, shaped more boards, sunk more suds, played more music, surfed more waves, made some friends and had a blast in the process.

The Book Of Deus is the second instalment in the Deus saga – a 252 page, full fat, extra fruit pictorial exposé of the multifarious beast that is the Technicolor world of Deus. over 60 new pages, a new cover and hand screen printed hard cover slip case. Featuring new content including Deus Bali, Deus Venice, The American, ‘Tracking’ the movie, new artwork, Dress-Up Drags, Harold Park 2011, swap meets, live music and all the usual Deus scuttlebutt…

Hi KC / Mr Rocks – This is an updated version of the first book of deus – coined Volume 2. It’s got what volume 1 had with 40 extra pages and a hard cover slip case. Think of it as a much needed update! Enjoy it!

Hi KC / Mr Rocks – This is an expanded and updated second edition of the first book – House of Simple Pleasures. It has the best pages kept in, the floppy ones chopped out and 40 extra spreads with a hand screen printed box cover slip case. Enjoy it!

my question is similar to the one below. I don’t own version one, so if I understand it right, this is Version 1 book plus new content, correct?
Sorry, not trying to be dumb, just want to double check before I grab a copy.

I too have volume one. I actually pressed the button to buy this volume, but decided to flick back and have a look at some of the pics…now i see its an updated version Im probably going to flag..Is there really any point? Im sure those 40 pages are amazing, but I dont really want to pay for something I already have.. Hopefully Volume 3 contains all of the stuff from vol 2 which is not in volume 1!! How about a discount for us volume one owners…

Hi Jonesy. The second edition replaces the original Deus book, The House of Simple Pleasures. If you purchased the book recently, I’m sure we can sort something out for you.

Hello, I bought the book “The House of Simple Pleasures” last year. I live in Spain and a friend of mine bought it in Sydney for me. Is this a complete different book or just an update with a few more pages? It´s a lot of money to have it send here to Madrid, Spain… But then again I love so much your style that want to have it all….
    Thanks!

Hi Dani. We’ve refined the original ‘House Of Simple Pleasures’ book to include the last 2 years of creativity at Deus. We have edited out 20 spreads, and adding in over 60 new pages of content, plus the hand screen-printed slip case.

Whow, 84$ for shipping!! Glups… don´t mind paying for the book, even having Nº1 already, but an extra 84$ seems prohibited!!

Will this book be available in shops in the Netherlands? 80$ shipping costs makes is too expensive for me.

There is the product and expertise within Deus to produce an amazing coffee table book on custom bikes
The first volume missed the mark, it was a style exercise with very little actual substance on the bikes themselves
I am awaiting the definitive book on custom bikes from DEUS, I wonder if this is it…I doubt it.

Hello, like the below comments, is there any possibilities to buy it in Europe (France)? Shipping costs are really prohibitive…
