Build Diaries | Matt Cuddihy’s Scorpio – Stage 2

Following on from Stage 1:- “After a lot of sparks Jeremy welded up the new tank and seat mounts as well as the surf rack and a special request for an old Ammunitions tin I found to store my lunch and other goodies. We decided to put different sprockets on the bike for some highway gearing so the 225 can keep up with the highway traffic for the long trip home.” Photographed by Thomas Walk

Build Diaries | Matt Cuddihy’s Scorpio – Stage 1

The last few weeks have been a frenzy of activity at the hive we call the House, with the Welcome back Surf Swap, Bob Mctavish Evening and Top Gear festival next weekend our feet haven’t touched the ground. Not content to keep the circus in the tent (or rather the House) we planned a road trip up the east coast this week, the lads will arrive shaken and well stirred in Queensland just in time for the Noosa Longboard Festival. The Cafe Scorpio

Amidst the hustle of opening our new shop ‘Deus Warung of Simple Pleasures‘ Oberoi in less than 3 days, something quite understated made its way from the Bengkel to the showroom floor. The Cafe Scorpio started off in life as a humble Yamaha Scorpio 225, which after some love, care and grinding from the boys in the workshop, has taken on a new form. It now sits on our showroom floor, sporting some unique little features like its polished aluminum alloy brake and clutch controls. Along with its flashy hand grabbers, this ride is running on classic Firestone’s, riding on Daytona rear shocks and burbling through a custom exhaust. This low slung cafe racer is up for grabs, so if … View More

Deus Australia’s Scorpio

The Scorpio is one of the staple bikes of Indonesia, with a 250cc cap on engine size, the stock Yamaha 225 is one of the most favored bikes amongst the population. Our colleges across the way in the Australian HQ have been tinkering one of our islands favorites, and have ended up producing some very interesting results. Stripped down and with the addition of some shiny new parts and frame color, this Scorpio is definitely something to look out for on the streets of Sydney. Congrats boys!
