Bourke St Cycleworks

Deus Cycleworks is the bicycle orientated arm of Deus Ex Machina. Originally a filling station and automobile laundry from the 1930′s, the shop stocks a select range of bicycles and accessories as well as a wide selection of apparel. New Cinelli, Look, All-City and Surly single speed frames now hang with vintage and modern road bikes, townies, assorted odd-ball mini-velos and Japanese Keirin frames. Australian-made Velocity wheelsets contrast German-made Continental tyres whilst the latest range of Deus clothing complement Edwin denim, Red Wing boots, Vans shoes, Mission Workshop bags and Colab eyewear.

The workshop provides a range of services from a tune-up to parts installation to complete builds. The experienced and professional technicians will cater to your needs whilst you spoon your double riz from the Deus Cafe. The chinwag is free.

The adjoining Deus Cafe is part indoors; part outdoors, sitting in a converted garage space with headlight windows that look into the shop’s interior. The Little Marionette’s Sanchez-blend coffee is available with a selection of meal-sized sweets including outrageous Nutella Ciambelle whilst the breakfast and lunch menus range from avocado on sourdough, topped with creamed ricotta, mint and chilli to dukkah-encrusted sardines with the in-house semidried tomato spread on toasted Panini to hearty sandwiches like the corned beef, gruyere, pickles, sauerkraut and Dijon mustard on sourdough.
